And the Golden Pineapple Goes To…

Pinappos may earn a commission through links on our site.

On June 28th 2025, the Golden Pineapple Fragrance Festival returned for its 5th year and another unforgettable day of fragrance. Fragrance houses, perfumers, content creators, and enthusiasts from across the globe gathered in Orange County, California for one of the most anticipated days of the year in the fragrance industry. After our best MEET & GREET & SNIFF yet, we gathered to honor the best of the best fragrance in the industry for the 5th Annual Golden Pineapple Fragrance Awards.

It was a night of historic moments, from Elysian beating out the legendary house of Tom Ford and the iconic Penhaligon’s for the Best Woody Fragrance to our first ever three-way tie. But we don’t do ties. There can only be one!

Take a look down below at the winners of the 5th Annual Golden Pineapple Fragrance Awards. Also, you can scroll down past this year’s nominees to see the previous winners of these historic awards.

THE METHOD

The Golden Pineapple Fragrance Awards are a unique breed of awards. Our goal since launch is to put all fragrances on an even playing field. That means everyone from the most well-known names in the industry to the newest, smallest least known indie houses all compete through our rigorous blind testing system. Our system was devised by Team Pinappos and open democratization from the public to ensure the most fair and unbiased system possible for awards selection.

Furthermore, while our method is designed to preclude any outside interference in the selection process, we have made the decision to take it one step further by locking in all nominees and winners before we accept any money from vendors or sponsors.

Submissions are the only guaranteed way to be considered for nomination and fragrance houses across the globe submit their fragrances every year for consideration, but the secret sauce of this all could very well be that submissions aren’t the only way to be considered. A select team of fragrance loving researchers, scour the world for fragrances they believe are worth discovering and acquire those fragrances to have entered for consideration.

All fragrances, no matter how they are entered for consideration, are decanted into non-descript sample sprayers with coding and sent out to the Pinappos Influential Press (PIP) who then test each fragrance to determine the best of the best. PIP is made up of members of our team as well as other carefully selected people outside of our team with little to no ties to the fragrance industry to avoid as much bias as possible. We select people from all walks of life to allow for the most diverse perspectives on judging. Once the votes are tallied for each category, the highest votes become the nominees. PIP will then revisit each of the nominated fragrances and vote for the best of the best in each category to vote on a winner. Each step remains coded for PIP. The nominees and winners aren’t revealed until we announce them. After all decanted fragrances have passed the nominee and winners process, PIP will then take careful steps to judge the things that we cannot judge blindly like House of the Year or Perfumer of the Year. In the end, the winners will be sealed in an envelope, revealed only to a select few need-to-know people in the event committee who are sworn to secrecy, with the public finding out the results when the envelopes are opened at the award ceremony.
