Diving into Heretic’s New Nocturnal Collection

Heretic has unveiled a trio of new fragrances inspired by night blooming flowers. These elusive flowers, bloom under the night sky weaving unique floral aromas. Each scent from the trio brings something different and each scent is worth exploring. Read on to find out my take on the new collection from Heretic.

Nocturnal Tuberose

Like a flower plucked straight from the earth, dirt still clinging to its petals. It opens with a sharp Sichuan pepper and bright neroli, like the first snap of a stem. The heart erupts in a lush tuberose, laced with a textured gardenia, its floral richness carrying the raw, unpolished scent of soil. This then settles into a warm base of musky ambrette seed and earthy vetiver evoking the flower’s roots still tangled in the ground. It’s a dark take on the florals scents we tend to expect when wearing floral fragrances.

Angel’s Trumpet

Heretic’s Angel’s Trumpet from the Nocturnal collection enchants with its raw, floral mystique. It kicks off with a sharp jolt of green freesia and geranium. The heart blossoms with rich jasmine blended with pink water lily’s subtle radiance. Finally, it grounds into a deep base of vetiver and a subtle violet leaf, tethering the bloom’s wild spirit. Angel’s Trumpet is more in line with the florals I expect, and yet there’s something unmistakably mysterious floating just beyond.

Queen of the Night

Queen of the Night, my favorite of the trio from the Nocturnal collection, is an exciting, enticing, electrifying scent. It sparks with a vibrant burst of creamy ylang-ylang, enveloped with an intoxicating orange and tart lime. The heart unfolds with voluptuous jasmine and mimosa’s green lift, carrying the raw luminous scent of flowers in the cool breeze of the night air. It settles into a warm base of vanilla’s creamy embrace and vetiver’s grounded depth, anchoring the flower’s ephemeral magic.

Purchase Queen of the Night

With everything from a discovery set to a travel trio available to purchase, Heretic’s new scent exploration into night-blooming flowers is one worth exploring.
