Fall is here and while I love all seasons of scent, fall is especially a shining moment for fragrance. Here are some fragrances I’m looking forward to wearing this fall.
Delphinus by Creed
There are certain facts of life when it comes to fragrances. One such fact is when Creed releases a new fragrance, everyone pays attention. One of two new releases, Delphinus shines as an addictively intoxicating blend of smokey amber with buttery orris and hints of vanilla sweetness in the background. Sparkling with black and pink pepper, patchouli, and honeyed tonka beans, this is a gem that could easily be a signature scent for the fall.
Signature AURUM by Zaharoff
One of my favorite honey fragrances of all time, Zaharoff’s Signature AURUM will shine in the fall. The honey is deep, it’s dark, and sweet, without being too sweet. Very realistic to the real thing. While the honey is the star of this scent from opening to dry down, it’s in the dry down that the complexities begin to reveal itself and the subtle flaky nuances of baklava — the inspiration behind this gem — begin to unfold.
Americana by Bold Label
The perfect transition from summer to fall, Americana hits all the right notes, at the right time, in the right way. Even as the temperature has dropped, Americana has really stepped up to the fall plate. Like a slice out of a dream of the 50s life, Americana smells like a georgia peach ice cream with a vintage photograph filter on it. That’s what I feel when I wear this. It really does take me back to a time when I hadn’t even been born, but I wear this and I see the retro stylings of a pharmacy ice cream shoppe with autumn leaves falling. Americana — to me — perfectly captures a romanticized gourmand of the 50s.
Basic Witch by Xyrena
With a punch of pumpkin spice and everything nice, Basic Witch is magic to your fall fragrance nose. The punch of pumpkin spice latte at the top kicks right through to the dry down. Yes, this punch can kick. That’s how I know it’s good. On my skin, after the initial blast of pumpkin spice, it turns into a clean soapy scent, but as I mentioned the pumpkin spice is there all the way through to the dry down. This is exactly the pumpkin spice goodness I dream of for fall.
HWY 190 Extrait de Parfum by Fulton & Roark
Textured woods remind me of being surrounded by crunchy fall leaves. It’s depth defying and resinous in all the best ways. Vanilla bean seductively permeates in the background making for a charmingly sophisticated scent.
