TEAM PINAPPOS
The road to The Golden Pineapple Fragrance Festival V has begun and 2025’s event is set to be bigger than ever! More exhibitors and a new Awards experience means more excitement for everyone in the fragrance universe.
The fragrance lovers’ fragrance event returns to Orange County, California and is expected to take place around our traditional schedule. As with previous years, during the day the Fragrance Festival will feature fragrance exhibitors showcasing their fragrances for fragrance lovers, then in the evening, we will honor the best of the best fragrances with the Golden Pineapple Fragrance Awards!
SUBMISSIONS
Submissions for the awards are now open! You can either DM us directly on Instagram to @Pinappos or @JasonArshan, or email through our contact. While submissions aren’t required (sometimes a fragrance enthusiast will send a fragrance they think we should consider), submission is the only way to guarantee you will be considered. Please be patient with response times as we always receive a large influx of messages at this time.
All fragrances received are decanted into non-descript sprayers and labeled with codes. These are then sent out across the globe to each member of the Pinappos Influential Press (PIP). PIP is made up of fragrance enthusiasts, consumers, artists, and journalists. PIP will first make their votes for the nominations and then when the nominations have been selected, they will judge again to determine the best of the best based solely on those nominations. All the while they are only aware of the codes thus keeping all potential bias out of the process. Speaking of keeping bias out, the selected members of PIP will once again remain anonymous to ensure that no outside influence is possible. By now it’s part of Pinappos lore how when we announced the members of the nomination team for our very first awards, not long after the announcement, fragrance “gifts” were being sent out that might have influenced bias in the results. Luckily, we were quickly made aware of the situation and remedied it by changing the judges and keeping their identities anonymous. We are committed to keeping these Awards as transparently fair and unbiased as possible. Votes are then decoded and counted by a separate team. Once the results are finalized, they will be sealed in an envelope and only revealed on the night of the Award Ceremony. Submissions close on January 5th. All submissions must be received by then.
FRAGRANCE FESTIVAL

Decisions won’t be finalized until early 2025, but we have already begun the process of looking into the best houses for this event.
THE AWARD CEREMONY
Last, but not least, this year’s award ceremony looks to celebrate the many diverse and often overlooked cultures of the perfume industry with a special cultural appreciation theme. All guests to the award ceremony will be invited to dress in recognition and celebration of their respective cultures.
Final details for this historic event will be revealed early 2025.
